Denis Montanar Borc Dodon Sandrigo Friulano 2015

$26.00

Denis Montanar is a fourth generation winemaker that started producing wine in 1989. Most of the vineyards that he cultivates to this day, date back to the early 1900's, cultivated by his grandfather. The name Borc Dodon is Friulano for the name of his village. 10.5 hectares of vines and different varieties of wheat, are cultivated with organic methods.

Vines are around 26 years old, with this specific vineyard site, just under a half hectare. Soils are rich in sand, silt and clay. In the cellar, grapes are directly pressed and the free-run juice is naturally fermented in closed steel tanks for 8 months on the fine lees. This 100% Tocai Friulano is dry and medium-bodied, with remarkable texture and density yet remaining clean and fresh on the palate. Try pairing with roasted white fish or a hearty vegetable stew.
