The Mattioli’s beloved red “table wine”, made from 100% Sangiovese with 6 to 8 days skin maceration, is a great introduction to the magic they are capable of bringing out of the variety. Spontaneously fermented and aged in cement/stainless/fiberglass until bottling; as with all their wines, no added sulfur and no filtering or fining. Dark garnet in color with all the scents of summer: campfire, ripe cherry, strawberry, wildflowers. Juicy red cherry and pomegranate mingle with earth and bitter almond on the palate, atop bright acidity, a savory streak, and black tea tannins. Silky and super vibrant.
