Emilia Romagna

Emilia is Italy's land of bubbles. From the frizzante Barbera / Bonarda blends of Gutturnio to sparkling Malvasia, Pignoletto and of course, Lambrusco, Emilia makes sparkling wines of every style and color. Lambrusco was given a bad name by the cheap, often sweet, commercial wines that were pumped into the market in the 70s and 80s, but today it is not hard to find great, high quality dry versions.
